Food Thrift aggregates orders from corps members and students within each Local Government Area across Edo State. Instead of buying small, overpriced retail cups in kiosks, we purchase 50kg bags directly from primary agricultural millers, divide them on digital bench scales into sealed packs, and distribute them to your LGA Secretariat.

We are currently piloting exclusively across Edo State across all 18 Local Government Areas (including Oredo, Ikpoba Okha, Egor, Esan West Ekpoma, Etsako West Auchi, etc.). All distribution is organized on an LGA basis.

Contribution payments end on the last day of the month (November 30). Food packaging and bag sealing commence within 1–5 days of the new month (December 1–5, 2026), ready for dispatch.

Pick up is FREE on monthly NYSC Clearance Day at your official LGA Secretariat desk! Because corps members are already physically present at the secretariat for clearance, you can collect your sealed package without extra transport expenses. Alternatively, you can request direct delivery straight to your corpers lodge gate for an exact flat fee of ₦4,000.

To guarantee smooth wholesale execution: (1) Only 100% fully paid contributions receive the complete, full food package dispatched. (2) Members who contributed 80% to 99% receive exactly an 80% food package (any surplus balance above 80% stays credited for next month). (3) Members with less than 80% contribution automatically roll over 100% into next month's food cycle. No cash refunds—funds remain safely credited toward food inventory.

We operate a strict No Cash Refunds policy. Funds contributed are committed directly into bulk agricultural purchases from millers. If you are unable to complete a cycle or miss collection, your money is not lost—it remains 100% credited to your account and rolls over automatically into the following month's basket.

Yes! All payments are processed securely via Paystack. You can pay with your Nigerian debit card (Mastercard/Visa/Verve), instant bank transfer, or USSD. You can also opt in for automated deduction on NYSC allawee pay day.

If your foodstuff finishes 4–5 days before month-end or allawee drops, you can request an instant 'Sapa Rescue' emergency food pack: Mini Sapa Rescue (₦5,000 foodstuffs + ₦500 transport = ₦5,500) or Mega Sapa Rescue (₦7,000 foodstuffs + ₦500 transport = ₦7,500). Packs are dispatched within 24 hours to your official LGA Secretariat desk.

Yes! Choose the SOLO option on any food plan. You receive the exact same wholesale direct price without needing to coordinate with roommates or wait for anyone else.

We procure Grade-A Sortexed parboiled rice directly from certified automated Northern millers, and farm-fresh honey beans and garri. Every batch is calibrated on digital scales and sealed in food-grade bags before distribution.
